Drop in Midhurst crime figures

Police have reported a decrease of more than 23 per cent in crime in the Midhurst area.

At the annual meeting of the town council members of the public heard that in the year March 31, 2015 to March 31 2016 there were 131 reported crimes. This was a decrease of 40 from the previous year - a 23.4 per cent drop.

Police reported that although there were no fraud or forgery cases in Midhurst, in other parts of the district there had been a marked increase in these crimes and police were offering advice or how to avoid falling victim.
