A-levels: Top performance by Weald School

The Weald School is celebrating a 100 per cent A-level pass rate.

Students at the school, in Billingshurst, picked up their results this morning (August 18) and many were literally jumping for joy.

Some 14 per cent of the teenagers earned one or more A* grade with 38 per cent achieving A* and A grades, 65 per cent at A*-B and 88 per cent at A*-C.

Headteacher Peter Woodman said the results almost matched the best ever recorded by the school.

He added: “The lovely thing is the students are largely off to their universities of choice.”
