FORMER head boy of the Midhurst Grammar School Professor Nick Talbot returned to the town to meet pupils at Midhurst Rother College.

It was a trip down Memory Lane for the professor who is deputy vice chancellor for research and knowledge transfer at Exeter University.

He grew up in Northchapel, attending the village primary school and went on to Herbert Shiner Intermediate School and the former Midhurst Grammar School.

He gave a presentation to students at a special assembly for years 7,8 and 9 on ‘feeding the world - food security.’

He also spoke to Year 11 science students and was also shown around the college by the current head boy, Liam Rox.

Professor Talbot ended his visit with a guided tour by college principal Dr Joe Vitagliano, of the new school under construction, which is expected to open later this year.
