PETWORTH Primary School pupils have followed up a visit to the Gurjar Hindu Union Temple in Crawley with an India Day at school.

They took part in a host of exciting experiences which immersed them in Indian culture and were provided with opportunities to explore Indian dance, traditional musical instruments, a taster of Gujarati, yoga as well as a chance to try out delicious Indian snacks.

Acting deputy headteacher Anna Wells said that the day was full of excitement and fun from the moment the children and staff arrived dressed in their ‘fantastic’ traditional Indian costumes.
