PETWORTH Primary School now has a brand new Key Stage 2 library which was originally part of the former Herbert Shiner Intermediate School.

It has been refurbished thanks to a successful ‘Big Lottery’ bid and funding from the Petworth Primary School Association.

At the end of the summer term author and illustrator, Sarah Arnold, officially opened the library with the help of school ambassadors, Lily Baker and Sam Banting.

Miss Arnold also gave the school a number of her books together with one of her original signed and framed illustrations.

She had previously visited the school during World Book Week.

Her recently published books are Ugh Eggs!, published in 2010, and Brilliant Body Language, by Max Eggart, which was published in September 2010.
