The owner of a Midhurst pre-school and her staff are basking in the glow of an Ofsted inspector’s praise after it received the top Grade I rating in all categories.

Provision for children and their early learning at Chris Reseigh’s Midhurst Nursery Class in Lamberts Lane was judged to be of ‘exceptionally high quality’ in all aspects.

The inspector, Judith Reed, said in her report: “Overall the quality of the provision is outstanding. Children are eager to attend and make significant gains in their learning and development.

“The nursery staff enable all children’s individual needs to be met to a very high degree.”

Preparing its charges for transition to school was a particular strength of the nursery. They had confidence to enter the next phase of their lives ‘exceptionally well prepared’.
