No change to rubbish collections

THERE will not be any changes in bin collection days are planned for households in the Chichester district over the jubilee bank holiday.

“Our crews will be out working hard on the Monday and Tuesday bank holidays, which means no disruption to your normal waste, recycling, green waste or clinical collection days,” said Cllr John Connor, district council cabinet member for the environment.

“If in doubt, please refer to your latest collection day calendar.

Please place your bins out by 7am on your normal collection day.

“If you’re having a party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, remember to recycle what you can. If you’re having a barbeque with burgers and sausages, the card can be recycled but the plastic cannot.

“And if items still contain food for example, this not only means your bin load can’t be recycled, but possibly the entire truck load. So please keep your recycling clean, dry and loose.”
