VILLAGERS have been out in force on giving Stedham its annual facelift.
Around 20 residents turned out armed with gloves and litter bags and dressed in their high-vis jackets.
They scoured both sides of the A272 from Woolmer Bridge to Iping including the laybys as well as Minsted Road and then down into the village along The Street, School Lane, across the bridge to Stedham Lane and along Common View and The Alley.
In total the volunteers collected 20 bags of litter.
Parish council chairman Chris Morgan told the Observer: “We do this every year and one of the comments we received this year was that there seemed to be less litter around, so I hope this means people may be getting the message!”
