AROUND 500 dogs took their owners to a Fun Family Day at Woolbeding Parkland today (Sunday) May 12.
It was the second Dog Fun Day organised this year jointly by The National Trust and the South Downs National Park Authority and it took place in the spectacular parkland setting close to Midhurst and overlooking Woolbeding House and Gardens.
Families came from across the Midhurst and Petworth area with their four legged friends and 175 dogs took part in fun classes including most handsome dog, the prettiest bitch, cuddliest puppy, waggiest tail and golden oldie.
There were also demonstrations by the Arun and Downland Gun Dog Society and ALSAR Search Dogs as well as a National Trust livestock parade and a dog agility display organised by Homestead Dog Training Club.
A dog obedience demonstration was given by the Haslemere and Distict Dog Training Club.
