Volunteers and members gathered at the new Grange centre for a surprise party to say goodbye to Rother Valley Together (RVT) manager Petra Lynn.
Founder of the ‘big society’ day-care club for elderly and vulnerable people, Colin Hughes said she had been a ‘great ally’ and true supporter of the club its members. “She will be a hard act to follow.” RVT chairman Margaret Guest said Petra was ‘an absolute delight and a brilliant organiser’ who had overseen RVT’s move from the old Grange to its new home.
“She has kept everyone on their toes and we couldn’t have a stronger advocate for us.”
Volunteer Judy Fowler recited a poem specially composed for the occasion and Petra was presented with gifts from the club.
