Chichester’s gardeners honoured at presentation evening

GREEN-fingered efforts were rewarded in Chichester on Monday night as the area’s top gardeners were celebrated.

Birdham CE Primary School was among the big winners in the Chichester district’s residents and business garden competition.

They took home the trophy for best school, best vegetable plot at a school and most environmentally friendly school.

Also revealed at the event at Chichester District Council’s East Pallant premises was the winner of the Observer People’ Choice Awards.

For a full list of winners, see next week’s Chichester Observer, out on Thursday, October 11.
