FOR the second year running, Fernhurst bed and breakfast Colliers Farm has won a coveted award.

The Grade II listed farmhouse bed and breakfast has won the highly sought-after silver and bronze at the Beautiful South Awards 2014.

Delighted owner Marina Shellard said: “This is a fantastic achievement for us and we are over the moon to have won these two awards.

“Since opening in 2009 we have gone from strength to strength and we are now delighted to be welcoming back so much repeat business.

“The bronze and silver awards are a wonderful reflection of the passion and hard work we have put into the bed and breakfast.”

Held at the Grand Brighton Hotel, the evening celebrated elite visitor experiences and recognised their outstanding contribution to the tourism industry.

As a recipient of the prestigious accolade, Colliers Farm is now invited to champion the south east at the national Visit England awards in 2015.

Managing director of Tourism South East, Peter Colling, said: “Every year the awards are a reminder of the amazing wealth of fantastic tourism businesses the south of England has to offer.

“This year the standard of entries was higher than ever, making it extremely tough for judges.

“The winners truly are the best of the best and a match for any in the country.”
