A PUBLIC meeting is being held in Fernhurst Village Hall on Tuesday, September 11, as part of the Neighbourhood Plan development.
This, the third meeting, will be the presentation of the results of a recent questionnaire, which was sent to every household in the village.
Since the return of the questionnaires a specialist company has been collating the results, which will be presented on Tuesday, from 7pm.
The Neighbourhood Plan is part of a long-running process to direct future development in the Fernhurst parish, and relies heavily on the input from residents and businesses in the area.
The 20-page questionnaire asked householders how they felt about the area and how they wanted it to develop in the future.
The council’s planning consultant will also be on hand to give a presentation on housing, which is a major feature in the plan.
It is hoped analysis of the responses will help form the basis of the draft Neighbourhood Plan.
Ultimately a final version will be sent to the South Downs National Park Authority for their approval, before being returned to the village, where a referendum will be held.
The referendum is hoped to be next Spring.
All are welcome to attend the meeting.
