Fire crews called to Midhurst and Chithurst

WEST Sussex Fire and Rescue crews were yesterday (Tuesday, April 15) called to incidents in Midhurst and Chithurst.

The first call was at 10am to a domestic garage in Petersfield Road, Midhurst.

The Midhurst crew put out a small fire, which had started accidentally, before carrying out minor salvage. They had left the scene by 10.30am.

Midhurst firefighters then went to Chithurst lane shortly before 1pm after an area of undergrowth 20mx30m caught fire. It took just over an hour to make the scene safe.
