FOR THE second year running the Grange leisure centre at Midhurst will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with an ice rink for four days after Christmas.

Between 9am-5pm from Wednesday to New Year’s Eve, the Grange will host the festive play zone complete with a 12 by ten-metre indoor ice rink, curling, bouncy castle, golden ticket competition and ‘make and take’ crafts courtesy of Creation Stations.

Centre manager Mike Boyce said: “The ice rink can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities, we will have dual-blade skates for tiny tots and adult boots for those daring enough.

“It’s a great way to work off those minced pies, whatever the weather, and we’ve a much bigger rink this year for those who want to show off their skills.”

The winter wonderland festive play zone is being supported again this year by community retailer Kavanagh’s Budgens and Noel Kavanagh, owner of the Midhurst store, said: “The indoor ice-rink is a fantastic way for us to help keep Midhurst’s community thriving, it’s a great event to span all ages.”

The winter wonderland is £3.50 a session and the price includes skate hire.

The rink is also available for private hire and children’s birthday parties.

“Booking is essential, so please call 01730 816 841 for more information or to book,” said Mr Boyce.
