An enormous water slide the length of three football pitches is coming to Sussex this summer.
The company’s website, slidethecityuk.co.uk, says the 1,000ft inflatable slide will be coming to Brighton, although the exact dates and location are yet to be confirmed.
The giant flume has caused a sensation in other parts of the UK where it has attracted hordes of thrillseekers.
Organisers say: “Slide the City is a family friendly slip-and-slide water party event.
“There will be live music, food, drinks, water, and of course the biggest slip-and-slide that you’ve ever seen.
“Don’t worry, we’ve got it padded. This slide’s got more cushion than your grandpa’s orthopedic shoes.
“Make sure to bring your water buckets, floaties, and water guns (non-realistic of course), to squirt, spray, splash, and get all attending soaked.”
Anyone over the age of five will be able to use the slide, with the price starting at £10 for a single ride, £20 for three rides, and £35 for unlimited use of the slide for an hour before it opens, and an hour after it closes.
Inflatable tubes to ride on are provided, or riders can bring their own.
Our sister title The News at Portsmouth has set up a special Facebook page in a bid to get the water slide to come to the town.
