From things that go bump in the night to an astronomical game of hide and seek, The Novium Museum has plenty to keep families and children entertained this half-term.
Activities range from creative sessions designing textiles with artists Splodge Designs, to hide-and-seek games with a cut-out version of Tim Peake.
Families can drop in to the art workshop on Saturday, October 22 from 11am-1.30pm and Friday, October 28 11am-1.30pm and 2.30pm-4.30pm.
Hide-and-seek games will be held every lunch time from Monday, October 24 to Friday, October 28, where families will have the chance to win some special prizes.
A life size cardboard cut-out of Tim Peake, known as ‘Flat Tim’, will be hiding in locations around Chichester City Centre waiting to be found.
Clues on where to find Tim will be posted on The Novium Museum’s Facebook and Twitter accounts every day and can be found at www.facebook.com/TheNovium and www.twitter.com/TheNovium
On Friday, October 28 from 7pm-8am, things will get spooky at the museum for this year’s Halloween Sleepover.
Families can enjoy activities including a make and take craft, storytelling plus breakfast in the morning. The suggested age is six and above. Places cost £20 per person and can be booked by calling 01243 77588.
Councillor Gillian Keegan, cabinet member for commercial services at Chichester District Council said: “There are plenty of great activities to keep families occupied this half term at The Novium Museum.
“Whether it’s taking advantage of the museum’s free entry and browsing the exhibits or spending the night at a spooky sleepover there’s something for everyone.”
