DESPITE the rain Heyshott villagers poured into the Cobden Hall to admire the array of exhibits in the annual flower and produce Show.

Chairman Penny Masterton said: “It was standing room only and although a difficult year meant the flower section suffered, the judges were greatly impressed by the quality of the vegetables and overall numbers for the show were up.”

Hilary Ivison won the cup for the best exhibit in the show for her beautiful jacket. The cup for the best bloom went to Vallapha Laking, the best vegetable cup was won by David Hills and Mike Hadley took home the trophy for the best photograph.
