THere were flowers and vegetables galore at the Heyshott Summer Show on Saturday at the Cobden Hall.
Organiser Penny Masterton told the Observer: “Despite the difficult growing conditions this year many villagers managed to produce a commendable number of entries in all classes.
“Flowers, vegetables, baking, preserves, handicraft and photography all combined to make a very enjoyable and successful day.”
Honours went to Peggy Wright who won the best exhibit in show for her tapestry.
Best bloom was won by Bobby Gonzalez for her HT rose; and best vegetable was won by Wendy Hills for her onion.
