The Petworth Vision group is unveiling today (Wednesday, March 29) a short film to celebrate the delights of historic Petworth and put the market town on the map.
It is directed by Rory Rae and produced by award-winning film maker and Petworth resident, Douglas Rae of Ecosse Films.
Actor Hugh Bonneville who lives only a stone’s throw away, is the narrator.
The three minute film celebrates all the market town has to offer and it includes Petworth House and Park, sporting events, vineyards, concerts and festivals, food, antiques and shopping.
A preview was hosted by Nicola Jones, chairman of Petworth Vision – a community interest company, set up as a partnership of local councillors, traders and residents to promote the glories of Petworth.
Hugh Bonneville said: “Living in West Sussex, Petworth has always been a part of my landscape and so I was delighted to be involved with Petworth Vision, introducing our stunning, inspiring part of the world to visitors from further afield.”
Film maker Douglas Rae added: “We are incredibly lucky to live in the Petworth area so it is a dream job to show off its many enchanting and beautiful attractions, especially using drone photography.”
