Improvements planned by new owners of Granaries store in Midhurst

A LONG-ESTABLISHED Midhurst business has been sold, with its existing permanent staff told they can keep their jobs if they want them.

Midhurst Granaries in Bepton Road has been bought by Pets Corner (UK) Ltd, a family-run pet store group based in Crawley.

In a notice to customers, managing director Dean Richmond says: “At close of play on November 5, we will officially take over the running of the store.”

The business has been bought from Lillico Attlee, which has other stores in Kent and Surrey. It has catered for a wide range of customer demands for animal and bird feed and equipment, as well as outdoor clothing, pest control and gardening items.

Mr Richmond said Pets Corner had no intention of changing or delisting any of the products the shop currently sold. Instead it planned to increase the retail area to extend the range.
