LURGASHALL Horticultural Club’s 29th annual show on Saturday, August 18, will celebrate both the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics with some themed classes such as ‘Olympic Gold’ flower arrangements, specially decorated sponge cakes and children’s artwork using gold, silver and bronze colours.
The show takes place at Lurgashall Village Hall and is open to the public from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
Visitors are welcome and can expect to enjoy over 350 individual exhibits, including vegetables, fruit, flowers, flower arrangements, handicraft, cookery, photography and some very creative junior entries.
Homemade teas will be served and there will be a raffle in aid of the club.
Admission to the show is free, with car parking at the back of the hall.
