AFTER 15 years running the Haslemere ‘Christmas Cracker’, Hamish Donaldson is hanging up that particular pair of theatrical boots.
The production in Haslemere Hall this year followed the tradition ‘cracker’ pattern.
A psalm of welcome composed by Don Stacey, told amusingly of the past year before the packed hall joined in with the first carol.
The choir sang other carols and young pupils from St Bartholomew’s School also contributed. In between, a quintet of men and women led by Fay Foster produced a selection of comic verse on a panto theme – Snow White in three minutes was a revelation!
At the interval, mulled wine and mince pies were served by Friends of Haslemere Parish.
