A CHARITY race night in Fernhurst pavilion for the cricket and football clubs attracted around 70 people to the eight-race meeting.
With every race, horse and jockey sponsored by businesses and individuals, organisers hope the evening raised even more than the last one at over £2,300.
Mike and Mischa Allen were the chief organisers and ran the Tote, while Derek Pope provided the commentary.
A hot meal cooked by Ros Gander was served during the evening.
The next main event is on Saturday, July 12 when the cricket club is taking part in the Waitrose Open Day cricket matches.
During the day the first Test Match will be on Sky in the pavilion as well as the third-place play-off for the World Cup.
Nearer home, FCC is playing Tilford at 1pm, the tennis club is holding its social tournament from 10am, junior cricket coaching and the outdoor keep fit (FiT) classes are at 10am, bacon butties are served from 10.15am and a barbecue is running from 7pm.
