ANOTHER fascinating guest speaker is making his way to Petworth for the Spring Lecture.

The Right Rev Martin Warner, bishop of Chichester, will speak on ‘The Deepest Needs of our Society – How the church seeks to address them’.

Dr Warner arrived in Chichester in July 2012 having previously been a canon of St Paul’s Cathedral and then bishop of Whitby.

He has been busy visiting the whole diocese and meeting all the deaneries.

The talk is on Wednesday, June 11 from 7.30pm-9pm at St Mary’s Church, Petworth.

There is ample parking in the town-centre car park, six minutes’ walk from the church.

All are welcome to the lecture, which is free.

No tickets are required and refreshments will be served.

Further information is available from Gerald Gresham Cooke on 01798 342151 or email geraldgreshamcooke@gmail.com

The evening is hosted by Petworth Area Churches Together (PACT), and there will be a question and answer session at the end.

At the last lecture, more than 260 people attended from across the district to hear from guest speaker Jonathan Aitken.
