Busy year for Fernhurst good companions

THE Fernhurst Good Companions is getting set for a full scale programme for the new year.

It starts on Wednesday, January 15, with a get together and bingo.

On January 29 there will be a bring-and-buy to raise funds for the club.

There will also be a demonstration of the new defibrillator housed outside the village hall and non-members are welcome to join in and learn how to use it.

During the year, there will be talks including the work of the War Graves Commission, the REAL pirates of the Caribbean and grannies trekking to the South Pole.

There will also be ploughmen’s lunches, garden visits, outings and demonstrations on the second and fourth Wednesdays of most months in the village hall at 2.30 pm.

Anyone who would like to know more should ring Rosemary Foster on 01428 653266 or secretary Sue Hodge on 01428 653059, or would be welcome at a meeting.
