SUSSEX Police have bailed a man after finding cannabis plants and two stolen motorbikes in a Billingshurst workshop.

Cannabis plants and two stolen motorbikes were discovered by police officers who searched the workshop premises in Billingshurst yesterday (Tuesday, May 27).

A police spokesman said: “The discovery of 34 plants in a hydroponics set up in Marringdean Road was made after a 28-year-old man from Billingshurst was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

“As a result, he was further arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis.”

He has been bailed until July 26.
