STOP for a cup of tea at the Cowdray Farm Shop and Cafe and raise money for children’s charity Dreams Come True.
For the second year, Cowdray is supporting Dreams Come True with its annual fundraising campaign Dream Tea.
The campaign asks everyone to turn a cup of tea into a special moment by adding cakes and biscuits, and taking the time to spend it with friends, while raising money to help children who are terminally or seriously ill.
On June 20 from 2.30pm-5pm, Cowdray will host a Dream Tea under the new all-weather umbrella outside the café, alongside the children’s play area, which will be decorated with brightly-coloured bunting.
Tea and a homemade teapot biscuit will be served for £3 with 50 per cent of the takings going directly to Dreams Come True.
Fundraising boxes will be in the café and shop throughout May, while £1 raffle tickets will be sold in aid of the charity.
Raffle prizes include a Rachel Redfern oil painting and two entry tickets and two grandstand seats for the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup Final. The raffle will be drawn on June 20 at 4.30pm.
Peter Newman, chief executive of Dreams Come True, said: “The Dream Tea has a simple goal – to raise money to support children and young people who are terminally and seriously ill.
“We want to make their dreams come true and create a positive impact not just on the children, but on their family and friends.”
