Explore Fittleworth’s private gardens

EXPLORE Fittleworth’s private gardens over the May bank holiday weekend.

The Fittleworth Garden Trail on Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5 will again have 12 private gardens open to visitors between 2pm and 6pm.

A £6 charge per person covers both days, while children under 12 are free.

Tickets can be bought at the village hall or at any of the garden gates.

There will be plants and books on sale in the hall as well as teas, while the Fittleworth Playgroup will have fresh homemade lunches on sale between 12.30pm-2pm.

As last year, there will be a quiz to identify trees and shrubs in the grounds of Wyncombe Hill, with big cash prizes.

Donations for the garden stall would be much appreciated and collection can be arranged, telephone 01798 865175.

Roz Denny would also welcome gifts of homemade cakes in time for garden trail teas. Volunteers are also needed to help in the kitchen, contact Roz on 01798 865099 or email roz@cutecook.com

The Parish church of St Mary will benefit from the open garden money, while proceeds from the lunches will aid playgroup funds.
