THERE have been Chalk and Cheese, followed by Ant and Dec and Suited and Booted.
And now it’s the turn of Posh and Becks.
The ponies are the latest hopes of national pony scurry champion Karen Morris, who switched horses giving up showjumping for scurrying some years ago and won the 2013 championships with Suited and Booted.
The new trio are now out and about in the country lanes around Fernhurst, getting into shape for the coming summer competitions around the country.
Karen started as a professional showjumper but later turned to scurry driving.
“I had problems with bones after breaking too many and was told to give up riding. I sold everything (very reluctantly) and got a ‘normal job’.
“A friend then got me into private driving, but within a few years I was bored of the showing politics so took up scurrying! This now feels much more like my jump-offs in showjumping and I absolutely love it.”
She won the Scurry Driving Points Championship in 2007 with Suited and Booted and was third in the European Championships in 2010 before last year winning the national championships.
