PETWORTH residents and businesses are being invited to an open meeting to find out the results of a survey that will help shape the town’s future.

Surveys were delivered at the end of last year to all homes in Petworth and a sample of the surrounding villages to help create a ‘Petworth Vision’.

The aim is to improve the long-term prosperity of the town and residents were asked a range of questions including what they most liked about the town centre and what improvements they would like to see.

Businesses and traders were also asked about their experiences of running a business in the town and a third survey asked visitors for their views.

The two open meetings will be held tomorrow Tuesday, February 25 and Wednesday, February 26 at 7pm in The Leconfield Hall.

The meetings will give people the chance to hear about the results of the surveys and also the results of an independent town study.

The Petworth Vision Group will be asking which suggestions are most likely to improve the town centre. People will also be asked to join working groups to help produce the Petworth Town Centre Vision.

Chichester District Council is helping the work with the town council, business association, Petworth Community Association and the national park authority.
