Principal, Dr Joe Vitagliano, said: “Whilst the context of public examinations has changed in recent years, MRC has not been complacent in its drive for the best student outcomes.

“As a result of obtaining such excellent GCSE grades more students continue to join our sixth form, and a higher number will start on A Level courses that will eventually see them going to top universities and high quality employment.

“I offer sincere thanks to our students for their hard work and determination, and also express gratitude to our teachers and support staff for their invaluable role in achieving such pleasing outcomes.”

See next week’s Observer (August 28), for results from across the area and all the pictures.
