The Midhurst dance school filming for the Happy video in the Cowdray Ruins

A GROUP of people in Midhurst are taking on a global phenomenon, recreating the famous Pharrell Williams ‘Happy’ video.

The video by the American star has had more than 184 million views on YouTube.

Several groups have already been filmed, including the Midhurst players, the rugby club, the Midhurst school of dance, and patrons of the Swan and Royal Oak.

In the pipeline are the polo club, MADhurst committee, the Grange, MRC, Centre Stage Academy, Midhurst milers and the snack shack.

The group will be around town filming anyone who wants to join in, today (Thursday 17), and Wednesday April 23.

Shooting will be finished by April 25 and the video will be launched in early May.

The group will film a mass dance in Market Square on Wednesday, April 23 at 6.30pm and anyone is invited.
