THE Bluebell Inn at Cocking is looking forward to a new lease of life.

The pub has come under new management in the form of Simon Tideswell, who has big things planned for the future of the Bluebell.

Simon came to Cocking after managing Comme Ca Restaurant in Chichester.

“I have always been in the hospitality trade - for some 25 years now.

“Most recently I ran hotels on the Isle of Wight.

“When Comme Ca closed, I came over to the Bluebell with our head chef, Chams Lachheb.

“Chams and I want to bring a flavour of Comme Ca with us, for our loyal customers who are trickling through and have started coming to see us.

“Christmas is already beginning to look busy - we will have a lunch on Christmas day and a buffet party with music on New Year’s Eve.”

The Bluebell will also carry on with quiz nights once a month, with the next one on December 11.

The varied pub menu will offer diners typical pub grub, with classic favourites like fresh fish and chips.

“You will always receive a warm and friendly welcome here,” added Simon.

“And Jo, who has been here for four years, will continue as assistant manager - the locals adore her.”

Jane and Michel Navet closed Comme Ca, in Broyle Road, after running Chichester restaurants for 27 years.
