MIDHURST Community Bus Association is celebrating a more secure financial future after The Seven Fish Restaurant stepped in and served up major sponsorship.

David Stanton, pictured handing the cheque to chairman of the association Nick Wheeler, said: “We are very pleased to be able to support such a worthwhile service. The community bus provides a lifeline for residents who do not have easy access to transport.”

The new sponsorship comes as the community bus association also announced a new timetable.

The daily routes take on board recent passenger experience and also the effect of the opening of the new Grange community and leisure centre. The timetable also includes a return to Stedham after a ten-year break.

It is available from the Grange Centre, Budgen’s supermarket, the Medical Centre and the Yellow Bus.
