Ofsted praise Petworth pre-school
AN OFSTED inspector has rated the Kaleidoscope Pre-school at Hampers Green, Petworth, as ‘good’ at everything it does.
The Grade 2 rating for every aspect of its provision means the provision is ‘strong’, the schools inspectorate says.
It applies from the overall effectiveness of the early years provision, through to the effectiveness of leadership and management, and the outcomes for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
The pre-school, which was registered in 1992, currently has 37 children on roll. A maximum of 26 may attend at any one time. It operates from a new building at the Hampers Green Centre.
The inspector, Kerry Iden, visited for a day in March.
In her report she said: “Children are well settled within the group and making good progress towards the early learning goals.”
They had a tailored programme of activities and the staff worked well together.
