Rotary members don hard hats for Midhurst Rother College tour
MEMBERS of the Rotary Club of Midhurst and Petworth have been treated to a guided tour of the new Midhurst Rother College building which is taking shape on the site of the former school.
They were given a special briefing by Balfour Beatty construction manager Dan Caulkin before being kitted out with hard hats, gloves and flourescent jackets. The group including president Paul Ryan and Inner Wheel president Linda Doney were then the first ‘outside’ party to be given an escorted tour of the building works.
Rotary spokesman Helen Chapman said: “Great admiration was felt for teachers working at the school at this time coping with all this work going on around them, but how exciting to think that they will be the first to occupy this magnificent building.”
