RESIDENTS at Rotherlea Care Home in Petworth raised nearly £1,000 at their annual summer fete.

Part of the amount raised will be used to fund the home’s well-known ‘pick-a-wish’ scheme in which residents get to have their dreams come true if their names are pulled out
of the hat.

Among dreams which have already been realised by residents are a balloon ride, helicopter ride, Christmas day in the middle of summer, eating the world’s largest eclair and a husky ride.

Funds raised will also be used for sensory equipment, games and days out.

Among the entertainment on offer throughout the afternoon was a coconut shy, barbecue, a visit from a mobile farm and plenty more. The event raised £882.63.
