THE move of Midhurst library from Knockhundred Row to the new Grange
centre has seen the number
of users soar.

West Sussex county councillor Gordon McAra told town councillors: “It is early days yet, but library officers say the readership and user level have soared since the move.

“Of the 36 libraries in the county, Midhurst used to be at the bottom end of usage and now it is in the top half and on a par with the bigger libraries.

“This has been a quite a successful community project.”

Town councillor David Coote said he was very impressed with the new library which was open all the time. He had been able to visit on bank holiday Monday with his grandchildren.
