TWO Easebourne girl guides are celebrating after receiving top awards.

Jo Miles and Katie Bell were presented with their Baden-Powell Challenge Award, the highest award in the guide section.

It was even more special as they were presented at the Rother Valley District Patrol Competition with other Easebourne and Midhurst girl guides.

For Jo it is a double achievement as her patrol, the Elephants, came first and won the Ann Hauffe Patrol Challenge Shield.

The competition was based on a shipwrecked theme and challenges involved rescuing supplies, using a compass, lighting a fire, solving a code and building a miniature raft.
