KNIGHTS and crusaders are coming to Midhurst town centre.

Medieval Midhurst will take place over the bank holiday weekend on May 2 and 3.

Events will be in the town square, the church and St Ann’s Hill.

The event, which was a huge success last year, will have exhibitions and talks in the church on both days. Clothing and medieval artefacts will also be on display.

On St Ann’s Hill there will be have-a-go archery, which was very popular last year. On the town square there will be combat demonstrations, falconry displays, walk through history, Morris dancing, and have-a-go Morris dancing.

On both days at 4pm there will be town walks. Saturday’s walk is limited to 15 people, Sunday is limited to 25 people. Each walk is £5 finishing with cup of tea and chat in the church.

On Saturday evening there will be a ghost walk at Cowdray ruins, limited to 30 people. Tickets are £8.50.

On Sunday evening there is a concert in the church featuring medieval music and a talk about The Crusades and the Knights Hospitalier at Midhurst, with an interval for a glass of wine and chat with the musicians. Tickets are £8.50.
