Tania and David Holmes welcomed more than 100 people to their Bulldog Rescue headquarters in Midhurst on Saturday to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the centre.

Many took the opportunity to look around the special memorial garden planted in celebration of the special anniversary, made up of 2500 spring flowering bulbs - one for every bulldog helped since the centre was founded.

Members of the Bulldog Rescue team were available to discuss adoption and volunteering and every guest was given a free cuppa and slice of birthday cake.

At the end of the day, volunteers presented Tania and David with surprise gifts to mark the occasion which were gratefully received.

Bulldog Rescue has been at Midhurst since April 2001, and registered as a charity since 2006. During that time it has helped more than 2000 bulldogs and seen something done in Tania and David’s ‘spare time’ become a full time charity working across the UK. Tickets were sold in half hour slots to keep down congestion in the lane and the kennel and Bulldog Rescue would like to thank the residents of Carron Lane for their continued support.
