MIDHURST town councillors are appealing to members of the public to join them for their annual spring clean day on Sunday, April 22.
Teams of volunteers will be asked to help clear litter from ‘hot spots’ such as Jubilee Path and the Causeway and help smarten up the town.
Glynn Upjohn, Midhurst Town Council events team chairman, said: “Midhurst Town Council has been organising its annual spring clean day for over 15 years and it has become a really popular community event.
“Evidence suggests people are less likely to drop litter in a clean space than in one that is already covered in rubbish, so by picking up the rubbish from around the town Midhurst looks better and stays looking better for longer. All the equipment you need will be provided – simply turn up at the Grange car park at 10am.”
