SUSSEX Wildlife Trust and the South Downs National Park Authority are looking for volunteers to help take care of local wildlife and heathland reserves in the Midhurst, Graffham and Milland areas.
The organisations have arranged a conservation taster day on Wednesday November 30 at Iping Common for anyone interested in finding out more.
Open to new and experienced volunteers, and enthusiasm is more important than super-fitness. All training is provided.
Tasks include birch and rhododendron control, path work, fence repairs and wildlife surveys at locations including Stedham and Iping Commons, Graffham Common, Chapel Common and Weavers Common.
Once under way, the group will meet every Wednesday from 9.30am-3.30pm. Tea and biscuits are provided but volunteers will need to take their own packed lunch.
Those interested in taking part in the taster day are asked to call Jane Willmott on 01730 810363 or email@example.com.
