THE pair who set up Midhurst’s Macmilliathon have completed another successful challenge and raised nearly £1,000 for charity.
Steve Morgan and Nick Wiles started a fitness challenge to raise money for the Midhurst branch of Macmillan, which covers, Petworth, Billingshurst and Haslemere and Petersfield too.
On December 3, they completed a 10k run, 10k cycle, 5k row and one mile swim, in order to raise money for the charity.
Steve Morgan said: “A big thanks to the Spread Eagle Hotel who allowed us to do our Macmillathon there.
“We ended up doing far more than we thought which is great!
“This is the second Macmillathon we have done, and we plan to carry it on until we raise £10,000 for the Midhurst branch of Macmillan.
“We are going to get more people on board and try and get schools involved in fundraising too.”
Steve is a bereavement councillor at Macmillan and Nick runs the Post Office in Midhurst.
