Midhurst plans a day to remember

MIDHURST Town Council is inviting people to a street party on Tuesday, June 5 to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Bunting, bands and entertainment will make it a day to remember.

Tables and chairs will be provided along Church Hill and people are invited to bring their own picnics and drinks or buy them from outlets nearby.

Jubilee mugs will be given out to all children under 13, who live in the parish but they will need to prove their identity and their address.

At 3pm everyone is invited to be in the commemorative ‘Big Picture’.

Town councillors are asking people to return forms printed in their Midhurst Matters leaflet to reserve a place at the table.
