Midhurst residents get first choice on car parking

MIDHURST residents are to be given priority in the allocation of season tickets for the Post Office car park during development work for the new £8m community and leisure centre.

Town clerk Joan Hursthouse has told members of Midhurst Town Council that district council car parks manager Robert Clarke had reported on car parking issues to a Partnership Meeting.

Neighbouring residents have expressed concern about parking shortages during building work and with the imminent Market Square enhancement work which will reduce the number of car parking spaces in Midhurst Old Town for residential use.

Now they have been told they will get first choice of spaces in the Post Office car park next to the new development during building work.
