MIDHURST Rother College will unveil its view interactive periodic table on Saturday (April 25) when it opens its doors for its annual community day.

College principal Joe Vitagliano will unveil the new science resource which is now used daily by students across the college.

It was provided through fundraising by the Midhurst Rother College Association and a grant from the Woolfson Foundation.

Businesses from all corners of West Sussex, as well as Midhurst itself, will exhibit their crafts and skills and introduce children and adults to an array of exciting activities and information. Once again there will be the inflatable assault course provided by the Army and have-a-go climbs on the school climbing wall.

New this year is a mobile planetarium, archery for all, and fitness workshops. There are also performers singing and entertaining and treats to taste and buy, including wine tasting by Upperton Vineyards and Real Ale from the Crafty Pint.

St John Ambulance will be holding drop-in essential first aid sessions to enable all members of the community to update their skills.

Refreshments will be on sale, including an organic barbecue.

There will also be a chance to buy locally-sourced produce and learn more about the special landscape of the area from the South Downs National Park team and the National Trust.
