Plans for a state-of-the-art £700,000 new youth centre in Midhurst have been given the go-ahead.
The single-storey building will be developed on the site of the stable block at Whip Hill farmhouse on the corner of Lamberts Lane.
Designed by West Sussex County Council architects it is planned to be opened at the same time as the new Midhurst Rother College school or shortly afterwards.
The plans have found universal favour with Midhurst town councillors and with South Downs National Park planners. They will be funded from the sale of the county council owned tennis courts no longer required by the school and the site of the current youth hut the other end of Lamberts Lane which are currently being sold for redevelopment.
