ANYONE interested in getting involved in Midhurst’s South Pond restoration project is invited along to a meeting this weekend.

A South Pond volunteers meeting will take place on Saturday, January 31 at the Grange Centre.

Barbara Coote, from the South Pond Group, said: “This has been especially put on to welcome new volunteers who have expressed an interest since the restoration work has started.

“It will also be a chance to inform our regular volunteers about the new environmental activities such as water quality monitoring, guided plant walk and moth and bat mapping, which we are adding to our usual programme of looking after the pond and
Jubilee Path.”

The meeting will be led by Barbara Coote and sessions will be led by Graham Ault and Bruce Middleton from the South Downs National Park.

The meeting will run from 10.30am-midday.
